Tucked away on a unassuming narrow West Village block lies a hidden gem. Golden plush sofas, thick layered drapes, dangling canopies and extra deep velvet chairs you can sink yourself into adorn the space. The floor to ceiling windows are all swung open letting in the gentle breeze of summer. You can't help but ask for a chilled glass of rose and their homemade pita bread accompanied by an assortment of hummus, baba ganoush, and tahini. I found a sweet spot at this Moroccan denizen which became my new go-to for Northern African cuisine and the inspiration for this post. With two spaghetti straps on each shoulder and black lace trim, my sexy cami fit form TOBI in perfectly at Casa La Femme and was reminiscent of a belly dancer's top. The generously cut high waisted trousers give the feeling of a harem pant while the vibrant and festive embroidery draws the eyes down the legs fixing your attention below the waist. No gypsy dancer is complete without her headwrap, and in this case I chose a beaded linen scarf to tie it all together. The finishing touch was a piercing cat eye lined in black liquid and complimented by orange tone shadows and lots of mascara.
Hope you enjoy my exotic detour:) -xx Slightly Flirty c/o Gina Papa
