If we go back just a little over a year ago and picture that one girl walking down the street with an elaborate embroidered piece, let’s say a souvenir jacket we would have considered that fashion forward. Little did we know that brands would give us a healthy dose of bedazzling, airbrushing, and colors just a year later. These design styles coupled with the ubiquitous DIY pieces are brought to you by brand collaboration with underground street artists. Not only are they playing a role in a single piece but make up the flare in all parts of an outfit. Mixing and smashing these mediums together is the new norm. It’s no longer one extravagant piece that makes the outfit, it’s what I call Stynergy (Style + Synergy), where the whole look is greater than the sum of each part.
With this post, I put the glitz, glam, and color all into one place. Gucci’s FW runway also had something to do with it. I took a shimmery look starting with the stain glass pussybow blouse paired it with an embroidered black denim and slipped on a pair of Gucci webbed socks and a shiny Loewe pouch finished with rock stud heels by Valentino.
They all come together in perfect Stynergy! Tag #Stynergy on Twitter and Instagram to show off your slightly flirty look. I hope you enjoy . – SF xoxox
